Christian City Care began serving the community in 1991 with “Jubilee House”, an accommodation facility primarily for young single mothers in difficult situations. Since then we have provided increasingly useful and relevant community building programs and services. Recent years have seen us expand beyond offering only material aid and advice to ways of strengthening and connecting people.
Today Christian City Care operates from the C3Centre in Rooks Rd, Vermont, a purpose-built facility with training room, kitchens and counselling rooms. Our aim is to provide a safe, comfortable environment and move people on into a more positive future by providing targeted programs that are relevant and specific for each person.
OUR MISSION
Connecting people with their dreams for the relief from
poverty of body, mind and spirit.
OUR VISION
To be an effective multi-faceted agency, working with our clients to build their capacity as members of the community, especially the skills to engage effectively in all domains of living, appropriate to their stage in life.

OUR CLIENTS
Many people come to us initially because they are experiencing hardship in one form or another. We offer them practical help in the way of information, referral, support and emergency food parcels.
Volunteer duty workers interview the client to ascertain the scope of their problem and we journey with them from there. Many people go on to become involved in other programs, have issues resolved and regain confidence and some self esteem.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
We are enormously grateful to the huge team of volunteers: duty workers, administration assistants, program leaders & assistants and general helpers who add incredible value to the day-to-day operation of Christian City Care.
Volunteers are accepted after receipt of an application and Victorian Police Check. They are given orientation, OH&S training, and ongoing support. Many volunteers report that as a result of working with Christian City Care they have increased confidence, feel that they have given something back to the community and made some wonderful friendships.
