Christmas should be a time of joy and sharing, but for many in our community it can become a time of stress and increased hardship.
Christian city Care aims to help families that are experiencing tough times to enjoy a merry Christmas season by providing food that can be used for family celebrations and toys for children under 18.
Every year we have many more families coming to us than we can possibly help with a Care at Christmas parcel. Most are families of four.
A Care at Christmas parcel consists of a basic set of everyday staples plus seasonal food to prepare a Christmas Dinner. It also includes children's gifts appropriate to the age and gender of the children – something to add a little bit of joy to Christmas.
